CRU and SWETOX invites to a
PhD Course in Reproductive Toxicology (2 ECTS)
June 12 – 16, 2017
Confirmed lecturers include: Anna-Maria Andersson (Denmark), Carl-Gustaf Bornehag (Sweden,) Julie Boberg (Denmark), Paul Fowler (UK), Christina Rudén (Sweden), Olle Söder (Sweden), Pauliina Damdimopoulou (Sweden) and Laura Vandenberg (USA).
The course is organized by the Centre for Reproductive Biology in Uppsala (CRU), the Swedish Toxicological Sciences Research Centre (Swetox) and the SLU Graduate School for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. The course is open to anyone who is interested but PhD students will be given priority.
The topics to be covered include toxic responses of the female and male reproductive system, mechanisms of reproductive and endocrine toxicity, developmental and multigenerational reproductive toxicity, epigenetics, and regulatory toxicology with regard to reproductive toxicity. The course will include subjects relating to reproductive toxicity in humans, wildlife and domestic animals and comparative aspects will be in focus. The lectures will be given by national and international experts in the field.
